Chunks of Chocolate

Last night Big Sister wanted to make some cookies. This is one of our favorite things to do. So I got out all of the different chocolate chips, chunks, and peanut butter chips that I had and let her pick what we wanted to make. She chose the Chocolate Chunks. So...she pulled up a chair to the counter and we made Chocolate Chunk Cookies! Here is the recipe we used if you would like it (Ours turned out a little flat..having a three year old help who wants to do everything herself makes things kind of chaotic and the sugar and flour didn't really get measured correctly, but she had FUN and that is what matters. AND they still taste very yummy!)

Chocolate Chunk Cookies
2 sticks of butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 3/4 cups chocolate chunks
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and cook the cookies for about 10-15 minutes depending on your oven.

First, you cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until well mixed

Next, you add the eggs, salt, and baking soda and mix until blended

Then, you add the flour

And the chocolate chunks

Voila! It's all ready. We used an ice cream scoop to put the cookies on the cookie sheet. They make really BIG cookies!

And look how yummy they turned out. Like I said before, a little flat. But oh well, they all end up in the same place right?! And my new cake pedestal makes anything look yummy! I went to Home Goods the other day any fell in love with this cake pedestal. Darn! I forgot to take the price tag off before I took the pictures, Oh well!
