Chevron Entry Way

Have you ever had a morning when you wake up and just decided right then
and there to change your decor?

I don't have that happen to me very often, but one morning a few weeks ago, I woke up and decided that I wanted to add turquoise chevron stripes to my entry way as you walk in my house.  So I packed up the kids and headed over to JoAnns and bought my favorite color of turquoise paint by Martha Stewart and came home and started.

I found a great tutorial on Pinterest by The Tall Chick and used that as my inspiration.  In her tutorial she measured out the chevron and then taped it.  I, myself used a pencil and drew the chevron onto the walls.  Then skipped the taping step and just started painting.

I have to tell you!  I just absolutely love how it turned out.  I mean, I catch myself looking at it all the time!  And it doesn't take as long as you might think it would.  I only took me about 2 1/2 hours to finish the 3 walls in my entryway.

The mirror was $10 from Goodwill, the white wall decor were also $5 from Goodwill and I already had the silver picture frames.  And the sofa table and everything on it is from Home Goods.

If you would like to do chevron stripes on your walls, and have any questions, please feel free to ask!
